Albion Basin Utah
Albion Basin
is one of the most iconic hiking locations in the great state of Utah, particularly in the middle of July to the middle of August. Albion basin is closed for a majority of the year, but in July, the blossoms bloom and it is breathtaking. This session was at the tail end of the blooms, on August 19th. It is important that we stay on the path or the little photographer stations that they have set up for us, because in years past they have mot let photographers come to this spot for fear of us permanently damaging the flowers ability to propagate.

Even if you do not take a photographer with you, this is a sight to behold. I highly recommend going in the early morning to stay out of the heat and to avoid the crowds that come for photoshoots in the evenings. I admit, I like to photograph this location starting at 45 minutes before sunset, and mostly during blue hour.
