Tunnel Springs Park Photography

Would you believe me if I said it was thunder storming in the valley?

This cute family almost had to cancel their session, because the lightning and rain were hitting the western part of the valley hard as we were in our cars on the way up to Tunnel Springs park for their Family Photo Session! I am so glad we all stuck it out, because the overcast skies made for some soft beautiful light. These photos were taken in August, while the grass is tall and golden, and the sage bush are still green on the rolling hills!

How to prepare for you photos at tunnel springs park!

  • Wear comfortable shoes. There are little holes in the ground, and I don't want you to twist your ankle in heels. It is a bit slippery on some parts of the path.
  • I love this spot right before sunset, and for about 20 minutes after sunset. This spot is perfect for a mini session!
  • This spot is lush and green in early April, but turns golden by June. I always recommend soft, neutral tones for clothing at this location. Creams, whites, light green, blue r blush tones, all look lovely here.
